Known as the leading Swiss manufacturer of high-quality ergonomic office chairs, Giroflex is one of the oldest companies still active in the seat manufacturing industry with roots going back to 1872. Initially focusing on wooden furniture for the hospitality industry, it was Albert Stoll I’s son and successor, Albert Stoll, II who turned the company’s focus towards the office industry leading to another furniture breakthrough in 1926 when he created a swivel chair with a suspension system. Because of this ingenious invention, the company rapidly expanded and became the market leader of Swivel chairs in Switzerland since 1948.
After 70 years of continuous production of top quality furniture, Giroflex group has come to reside under Flokk’s house of brands as their seventh member starting July 13, 2017. This acquisition to Flokk will open new opportunities for Giroflex by expanding their geographical scope with Flokk being number one in Scandinavia and Northern Europe.
Giroflex will be joining other brands like HÅG, RH, BMA, RBM, Offect & Malmstolen.
